I just wanted to say Happy New Year to everybody, and God bless. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2010.

Also (if you'll allow me to get sappy for a second), since transitioning to a new year always makes me nostalgic, I've been listening to Return to Pooh Corner by Kenny Loggins a lot today. The lyrics really hit home for a person feeling worried about leaving childhood behind. I love it so much, especially since Pooh was my favorite thing as a tot.

Holy crap, is it the 29th already? I'm not sure about the rest of you guys, but I only just realized we're on the brink of a whole new decade. Feels like yesterday everyone was flipping out over Y2K, doesn't it? Criminy. Ten years went FAST. And in another short ten I'll be 30 years old. Hurrrggh life is too short. >:C

Truthfully, though, I'm dying to know what'll happen in the next decade. What sort of advances in technology there will be, what medical breakthroughs science will bring us, what kinds of music we'll be listening to, new anime and art fads, everything. Because even though getting old sucks, the future is still pretty exciting, innit?

Then there's all the personal burning questions. Will I establish a career in the next ten years? What will I be doing? Will I be happy? Successful? Will I have become the person I was meant to be, will I be able to reach my full potential? Hnnnngh. All this drives me nuts. I'm sure everyone is dealing with the same fear of the unknown, though.

Anywho, I won't plague you with any more sappy/angsty rantings today. I just had to get that out of my system, lol. What about you guys, though? Any thoughts on the previous decade, the coming one? Let's get the obligatory New Years' reminiscing and resolutions going a little early and get it out of our systems. XD

And just to get the discussion juices flowing, what's everyone doing to celebrate New Year's Eve?
