Welp, I'm leaving for the airport in a couple of hours. Chances for getting some decent internet time while I'm overseas are slim, so expect not to hear from me for the next ten days. I will get into the details of what activities I get to take part in once I get back and have stories to tell.
Since this is a study-abroad trip designed specifically for animation students (namely those who love anime), it's going to be pretty freaking incredible. We'll be visiting several major studios, museums and universities to work with professionals and listen to lectures. We'll even get to work with some Japanese voice actors on one of the days. And just recently, we added a tour of Madhouse studio to our itinerary. It's the second greatest anime studio in the world, and hey, they made Death Note, so I'm not complaining. Hee.
I'll be back on April 4th, and the new Fullmetal Alchemist anime starts on the 5th. Haha, I barely missed seeing the Japanese premiere--oh well. Too much awesomeness to look forward to. I'll get lots of pics (especially of Akihabara
Anywho, I've got to find where the hell I put my passport, so for now... Ja ne!
